New low-cost AGV mobile platform for robotic transport applications

PROINGESA, following its line of mobile robotics with AGV, has developed a new general-purpose mobile platform adaptable to any industrial, service or hospital application.

The AGV has a load capacity of 300 kg, is multifunctional, adaptable to customer needs, and with a highly reliable navigation system. The platform has applications for transporting heavy materials for industry, services and hospitals. The development is the result of the company's ongoing work in the field of applied research and technological development, with the dual objective of offering innovative products with a high technological content and applying low-cost criteria.

An outstanding feature is the guidance and navigation system, which is adaptable to the customer's needs, allowing navigation by opto-guidance, magneto-guidance, or by maps and contours by means of a high-precision and safe laser scanner.

The robot is suitable for use in industrial environments, is low-maintenance and can therefore be used as a motorised conveyor to replace conventional floor handling systems. Another important application is in robotic transport systems for hospitals.

It is bi-directional, speed adjustable, fully manoeuvrable, allows turns in small spaces, with programming and modification of routes without building work.
